Apart from its healing mud, Pomorie Salt Lake is also known for being a large ornithological centre, where over 200 species of birds nest, many of which are endangered. The birds can be observed from the balcony of your apartment as well as the established bird watching centre, which is located 1.5 km away or about a 20 minute walk.
